A schoolteacher was killed as a truck hit his motorcycle on bypass road in Tebaria area of district town on Saturday noon.

The deceased was identified Mansur Rahman, 67, a retired high school teacher of Panka village of Bagatipara upazila.

Police said the truck hit the motorcycle of Mansur around 12:30pm.

He was returning home from a court in the district town, leaving him critically injured.

He was rushed to Sadar Hospital where doctors declared him dead.

Local people demand pubishment of the Truck driver.
