Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has declared to increase the price of cooking and CNG gas.

The new tariff will be effective in two phases from March 1 and June 1 respectively.

As per the new tariff, the price of household single and double burner will be Tk 750 and Tk 800 from March 1 while Tk 900 and Tk 950 from June 1 respectively.

Meanwhile, the price of Compressed Natural Gas(CNG) will also go up.

From March 1 the new price will charge Tk38 per cubic meter while from June 1 it will be Tk40 per cubic meter.

To be effective in 2 phases

- March 1: Single burner Tk 750, double burner Tk 800

- June 1: Single burner Tk 900, double burner Tk 950
